So where should I start… Lucky 75, everytime I say it, Picture Perfect Memories of my Grandpa (Victor Gomez) start to flash through my mind; my Grandma (Maria Gomez) and Grandpa took me in after my mom and pops got divorced, and I love them tremendously and will be forever grateful and thankful for all that they did for me. My Grandpa was my father figure and showed me so much about life and working hard. My Grandpa retired from Bear River School District. He was the Janitor for decades at BEAR RIVER HIGH SCHOOL, and he was so proud of what he did. As a kid I never understood it but as an adult I see it. It wasn’t about his job title, it was about doing your job the best you can, and taking pride in it. I remember as a teenager, my brother and I would tag along with him and help him clean the high school, water the baseball, football, and practice fields. Looking back we had a lot fun and made memories I’ll never forget. I remember one night he let us play basketball in the gym before for we went home and while we were in the gym he started telling us how the school was haunted and how he would see and hear things while he was cleaning or walking through the hallways. Man he scared the shit out of us and after that night it was like going through a haunted house everytime we went to help. His smile could light up a room, his voice was stern and the words he spoke were wisdom. His heart was big and full of love. I could sit and listen to his stories about when he was a kid growing up in Texas, living in Illinois and why they moved to Utah. My grandparents migrated to Utah to work in the onion and potato fields with the family. They were also one of the first Mexican Families here in Tremonton along with the Solis Family, Barrera Family, Gaza Family, just to name a few. My Grandpa was one of my biggest supporters and always encouraged me to do better. He seen me go through my struggles and saw me at my worst but never did he doubt me or judge me. All he ever wanted was to see me successful because he new i could do it. Unfortunately my grandpa passed away before i got my Barbering License and before I opened the shop. So in his honor and for everything he did for me, and for all the love he gave me and for all the wisdom he shared with me, in return my small very small token of my Love and Appreciation for all that he did for me. I couldn’t have done this nor got to where I am with out him, and for that I named my shop in his memory and after his favorite number 75!

P.S. Grandpa I know your watching cause I can feel you close, so I will continue to make you proud. Tell Grandma I love and miss her so much. See you on the other side. I Love You.
